Funky Flamingo

The Funky Flamingo Club is a regular nightclub held at The Junction in Cambridge and is organised and run by and for disadvantaged and disabled adults and young people from Cambridgeshire and beyond. The club is organised by a steering group of learning disabled adults and young people who meet on a regular basis to discuss and arrange everything from the music and entertainment at the club to decorations, publicity, tickets and merchandising.

British Paralympic Association

The British Paralympic Association was established in 1989. At the 1988 Paralympic Games in Seoul representation from Great Britain was organised by an ad-hoc multi-disability committee. It was later decided that a more permanent organisation was needed to undertake such a huge task. Today, the role of the British Paralympic Association has grown immensely and as well as sending teams to each Paralympic Games, the British Paralympic Association now provide support services to elite Paralympic Squads.
