CAPOLD stands for ‘Citizen Advocacy for People of Oxfordshire with Learning Disabilities’. We provide advocacy for people with learning disabilities.
This means supporting people to speak up for themselves, make decisions, get information, ask questions and many other things.

Clear offers training, resources, research and support around clear communication and accessible information with people with learning disabilities.
Clear employs people with learning disabilities as well as speech and language therapists as consultants.
Our website includes a free stuff page with a clear word list and ideas leaflets for you to download.

If you need help, you can call the Learning Disability Helpline on 0808 808 1111. Mencap can give you information on things like housing, jobs, benefits and local services.
You can contact Mencao 24 hours a day. If there isn't an adviser available to speak to you when you call, you can leave a message and they will contact you. They keep all calls confidential.
