The Children's Society

The Children's Society has many projects working with disabled children and young people, some of which provide advocacy services for children and young people. Most of these projects have specialist advocates working with disabled children and young people looked after by local authorities.

The Disability Advocacy project specialises in advocacy for disabled children. This project has recently received DfES funding to carry out a research and development activity to ensure that disabled children and young people who live away from home are involved in decision making when a move of placement is being considered.

The Children's Society offers training on different aspects of advocacy for disabled children.
